Cold Weather is Here And the Fish Are Still Biting

By December 16, 2010No Comments

December has been pretty cold this year and it seems to be hitting us a little early. This has not slowed down the fishing in Tampa Bay.  With the water temperature dropping into the 60s this is the time to fish for Trout. Trout are a  fun fish to target. They are easy to catch and you can catch  lots of fish. They are also very easy to find. Just about every grass flat has an abundance of Trout. Live shrimp works good, but I really like to throw artificial baits. One great artificial bait to throw is the DOA shrimp or The DOA 4 inch CAL baits. Simply slide this on an 1/8 ounce jig head and you’ll be ready to catch fish. Red fish are also a great fish to target in the winter. We are catching most of the Red fish around residential docks, creek mouths and rivers. I still have some openings for next week so if you’re looking for a great day on the water to catch fish and enjoy the beautiful waters of Tampa Bay call 813-727-9890 or email at captjasonp@aol.com  Tight Lines!
