Your Tampa Bay
Your On-The-Water Fishing Adventure Starts Here
Can’t you just see it… Rod bent, line ripping off, the rush! Cruise the saltwater flats and tangle with a multitude of species, including schools of redfish, trout feeding in the miles of healthy sea grass, tarpon rolling along the bridges and passes, or snook lying in the undeveloped mangroves lining Tampa Bay.
We start the day early. Fueling the boat, rigging our rods, and catching bait. We have everything ready for you when you arrive. Hop on board the boat and we pull away from the dock.
Our morning trips start at 8 am typically, and by then the fish are ready to hunt. The early morning top water action is incredible, as snook jump at the lure on the top of the water creating a little wake behind it. The moment you feel that bite, you know its going to be a good day.
With our knowledge of these waters, and normal patterns of the fish, we will keep you on top of the fish all day! Chasing the red tails along the mangroves, or dropping down a pinfish for mangrove snapper in the channel, your charter is up to you! We love to put people on the fish of their dreams, and that is our goal!
What Fish Can You Catch?
The mangrove snapper is typically found in Florida and across the Gulf of Mexico. They are marine fish as adults, but juvenile mangrove snappers migrate into estuaries and Florida’s rivers until they reach maturity, which is a perfect time for us to catch them.
Snook are one of the most popular fish we catch inshore. Snook inhabit tidal estuaries and river mouths flowing into the ocean. Sound like Tampa and the surrounding waters…?
Red Fish (Red Drum)
Another popular fish, the Red Fish, are an extremely strong fish found in the back bays. You’ll know its a Red Fish by the spot on its tail. We regularly target these fish inshore.
Spotted Sea Trout
In order to complete an inshore slam, you have to catch a trout! Spotted Sea Trout are finicky fish that typically feed in the early morning hours.
Tarpon are large, hard fighting fish that are judged by many to be the world’s most exciting gamefish. These fish can grow as large as 8ft and in excess of 280lbs. We typically target them in May June and July.
Red Grouper are typically found offshore in deeper waters. But we have the luxury of the Tampa Bay Fishing Channel, which holds great numbers of Red Grouper.
Gag Grouper are typically found offshore in deeper waters. But we have the luxury of the Tampa Bay Fishing Channel, which holds great numbers of Gag Grouper.
I am a full time guide and will firmly commit to the dates you reserve for your fishing charter. In doing so I will turn away other potential customers that request the same date you have reserved. Likewise, and in all fairness, any fishing charter that is canceled with less than 14 days notice will forfeit their deposit. Day of fishing charter cancellations (No Show) will forfeit the entire cost of the trip.
